In the model of traditional independent bottlers in Scotland, Lost Lantern has always released both whiskies that come from a single distillery and blends of whiskies from multiple distilleries. We see them as two sides of the same coin. Whiskies from just one distillery help shine a light on unique flavors and styles that aren’t available otherwise. Blends of whiskies from multiple distilleries bring those flavors together, often in surprising new ways.

This bundle includes Lost Lantern’s first two blends of whiskies from multiple distilleries: American Vatted Malt, a blend of American single malts from six states and six distilleries, and Far-Flung Bourbon, a blend of straight bourbons from four states and four distilleries (all of which are disclosed on the label for both releases, of course!).

Lost Lantern American Vatted Malt
One of the first blends of single malts ever made in the United States. We brought together the founders and distillers behind some of the country’s most distinctive single malts, all of whom hand-selected barrels for this unique blend. The result was this unique and special blend of whiskies from six distilleries: Balcones in Texas, Copperworks in Washington, Santa Fe Spirits in New Mexico, Triple Eight in Massachusetts, Westward in Oregon, and Virginia Distillery Co. in Virginia. 105 proof.

Far-Flung Bourbon
A blend of straight bourbons from four states and distilleries that have never been blended before: Frey Ranch in Nevada, Boulder Spirits in Colorado, Watershed Distillery in Ohio, and Still Austin Whiskey Co. in Texas. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 136.8 proof, this captures the true breadth of bourbon in one bottle, and brings flavors together in a new way. Big, bold, spicy, and rich.
