Great finishes help amplify flavors that already exist in the underlying whiskey, highlighting a particular aspect of the underlying whiskey. This bundle showcases two bourbons whose finishes further accentuate the sweetness in bourbon itself. 

One comes from Starlight, a master of finished whiskies, and is finished in a cask that previously held honey from the Huber’s own family farm. Rather than simply adding sweetness, the honey cask enhances the notes of sweetness and spice in the bourbon, creating a whiskey with great depth. 

The other comes from Watershed, one of the few companies in the United States to make Nocino–a traditional liqueur made from black walnuts. Our Watershed single cask spent more time in that ex-Nocino cask than it originally did in new oak, resulting in a whiskey with truly integrated and deep nutty flavors. This is a fruity, dense, dark, and powerful whiskey.

Together, these two bourbons showcase that sweetness can go hand-in-hand with depth and complexity!

Watershed Nocino Finished Ohio Straight Bourbon 8 Years Old
A long-aged bourbon finished in a cask that previously held Watershed’s own Nocino black walnut liqueur, amplifying the nutty, fruity notes.
